How to Avoid and Heal from Coronavirus-Induced disease

😷  COVID-19     ðŸš‘

Anywhere I go, there will be a potential carrier.

My husband goes to work.

My child to school.

I know the government is doing all that it is necessary.

But what is my contribution towards the world health?

Nothing!

I blame the Chinese for eating bats.

I blame the Chinese scientists for infecting the community.

I blame the people on Diamond Princess–Rich people, eh!

I blame the travelers.

DO YOU KNOW?

The mass hysteria is not helping.

Nor pelting of stones on the bus is.

I am sure the Australian who died last week died of disease.

But think about this:

He survived the quarantine–hoping to return home.

Then went back to Australia–hoping to see his family.

I imagine that they handled him with all precautions.

Sent him into isolation.

Treated like untouchable.

And the quarantine in the hospital did nothing to pep up his spirits.

His will to live died.

The official statement is he was 78 years old and had some other health issues.

Also according to report, first week the symptoms are mild and worsens on the second.

One week at the hospital is enough to kill your spirits, the second one only the brave survives.

MY HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE

I was in a hospital once for appendectomy.

I fought with the doctor and got myself released on the third day.

I felt sick looking at my attendant and wanted my mother at my side.

I was 21 years old then.

Before I went to the hospital to deliver my baby, I asked all my in-laws not to leave me in the hospital alone.

Imagine the mental state of these quarantined people.

Living in isolation for a week conjures a ‘white’ picture.

More About Hospital

Once when my father was in hospital, I came to discover that his neighbor had died in the morning.

They were yet to remove the dead body, waiting for relatives perhaps.

Immediately, I requested my father’s release and shifted him to a nursing home.

Thankfully, he was not suffering from an infectious disease.

IT IS ALWAYS THEIR FAULT

It is their fault.

Now what?

We loved globalization.

We loved when it meant increased exports.

We loved when it meant a world of opportunities open for us.

We loved those foreign trips.

We love those international brands.

Now let’s take the responsibility.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

1️⃣ Slow down.

This is not the time to start an enterprise, except if you can help in containing and treating the disease.

2️⃣ Support the government in all their measures.

I loved the way Paul Berenger (leader of a political party in the opposition) came forward and appreciated the efforts of our medical and paramedical staff.

3️⃣ Take all precautions outlined by WHO.

4️⃣ Spend time with your friends and family.

5️⃣ Be nice on social media and show support.

SOME IDEAS FOR PATIENTS

It is difficult to be in quarantine, especially when you are expecting the worse to happen.

But small efforts can help you survive the worst.

1.  Play with a Rubik’s cube. It is a good exercise for the brain.

2. Press a sponge with your hand and fingers. It will exercise some muscles. Also if you can, lift your legs and play with your feet.

3. Do some breathing exercises.

4. While lying down, change the side on which you are lying often to avoid bedsores. Talk to neighbors or to anybody who is willing.

5. And do not lose hope 💟. The hospital stay can be very depressing. But I have seen cancer patients survive the ordeal only on the desire to live.

You can also make a mental list 💬 of all that you will do once you are healthy. Happy thoughts fortify your immune system.

More Hospital Story

When I was in the hospital, the attendant warned me they will do an anal douching next morning to make me pass stool. It was 2nd day after operation. I summoned all my will power, walked to the toilet and did an effort through the pain of stitches to not let them do that. This surprised the doctor but he did not prescribe the method. Some times you know your body better than the doctor.

Take charge and follow all rules to get out of the place as soon as possible.

All I want to say is:

Do not give up without a fight, dude.
